Terms of service
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: December 9, 2025
Welcome to Ratio Motorsports. By accessing our website or purchasing a TraiLink device or accessory, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your order.
1. General
Ratio Motorsports Inc. ("we," "our," "us") provides off-grid communication and tracking devices, accessories, and related services. These Terms govern your use of our website and the purchase of any products offered through it. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Product availability & orders
- All products are subject to availability.
- We may limit quantities or cancel orders at our discretion.
- Prices are listed in CAD unless otherwise specified.
- When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming we received it. This does not guarantee acceptance. An order is accepted once it has been processed and shipped.
3. International orders
Orders shipped outside Canada are processed by our international commerce partner, Global-e, who acts as the merchant of record for those orders. This is disclosed to you at checkout before you pay.
What this means in practice:
- For an international order, your purchase contract for that transaction is with Global-e, on Global-e's terms and privacy policy, which are linked at checkout.
- The price you are shown includes applicable import duties and taxes, calculated and collected at checkout. You should not be asked to pay duties or brokerage fees when the package is delivered.
- Your device is still designed, built, and tested by Ratio Motorsports Inc. in Bradford, Ontario. Our product warranty, our 30-Day Trail-Test Guarantee, and our support are unchanged. Contact us directly at support@trailink.ca for anything to do with the product.
- Refunds and returns on international orders may be processed through Global-e. Start by emailing us and we will route it correctly.
4. Shipping
Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, weather, customs processing, or remote delivery routes. TraiLink is not responsible for delays once a package has been handed to the carrier. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We are not liable for orders lost due to incorrect addresses. Full details, including processing times and destinations, are in our Shipping Policy.
5. Use of products
TraiLink devices are intended for personal or recreational use. They are not a substitute for emergency services or guaranteed communication. Coverage and performance may vary depending on terrain, weather, network capacity, and environmental conditions.
6. Intellectual property
All content on our website, including logos, branding, product images, text, and software, is owned by TraiLink and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, or distributed without our written permission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TraiLink is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our liability for any purchase is limited to the amount paid for that product.
- Users assume all risks associated with using the devices in remote or extreme environments.
8. Returns & warranty
Returns. Our return terms, including the 30-Day Trail-Test Guarantee, are detailed in our Refund Policy. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and accept those terms.
Limited warranty. All TraiLink hardware is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery. If a covered defect appears within that period, we will repair the product, replace it, or refund it, at our discretion. That is our sole obligation under this warranty.
How they are made. Every TraiLink is built and assembled by hand, in small batches, in Bradford, Ontario. Because of that, small cosmetic variations between units are normal and expected: slight differences in finish or colour, faint marks from assembly and finishing, and minor surface imperfections. These are characteristics of a hand-built product rather than faults, and they do not affect how the device performs, seals, or holds up on the trail. Cosmetic variation of this kind is not covered by this warranty. If something looks genuinely wrong to you, send us a photo anyway and we will take a look.
This warranty does not cover:
- Cosmetic variation from hand assembly, as described above
- Damage from accident, misuse, or use outside the product's stated operating conditions
- Normal wear, including scratches, scuffs, and cosmetic marks from riding
- Water or dust ingress beyond the product's stated IP65 rating, including damage from submersion
- Gradual loss of battery capacity from normal charge cycles
- Products that have been opened, modified, or repaired by anyone other than us
- Loss or theft, and any consequence of the product being unavailable to you
To make a warranty claim, email support@trailink.ca with your order number and a description of the fault. Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser.
The 30-Day Trail-Test Guarantee and this one-year warranty are separate things. The guarantee is your window to return the product simply because it is not right for you. The warranty covers a manufacturing defect for a year, well after that window closes.
This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
